Michigan Codeplugs Now Available!

The MichiganONE DMR Net website now offers downloadable codeplugs and digital contact lists for many popular radio models. These codeplugs are basic - they are programmed mainly with Michigan DMR repeaters, including the Mi5 System, along with basic configurations for other repeaters. The Anytone D868UV codeplug also contains Michigan UHF/VHF repeaters.

The information in the codeplugs was obtained from Repeaterbook.com and the Mi5 website. These codeplugs with periodically be updated and matured when I have the time to do so. The digital contact lists will also be updated at least once a month.

You can find these by clicking on the codeplugs tab at the top of this page.

MichiganONE DMR Net for 6/24/2019

Net Summary

Stations Checked In: 20
Net Closed: 9:12 PM

The net today saw a record 20 stations checking in, on this "Field Day" edition of the net. We had 7 new stations join the net this evening; KA9FON, WA8EFK (ARRL Director - Great Lakes Division), K8SRH, KA3BQE, KE8CIO, K8JML, and KN4SWF. Welcome to the net and we hope to hear you back soon and often.

Field day seemed to be an all around success this year, with FT8 and the heat being mentioned more than a few times on the net this evening. It also sounds like it was a great field day for showing off the hobby to new potential radio amateurs - if you shared our hobby with someone new during field day, pat yourself on the ole back!

BrandMeister Master Server Status Alerts

For those who use BrandMeister - there is a twitter account that automatically checks and publishes notifications when master servers go down / come back up. This can be extremely helpful in knowing if the master you are connected to is having issues, or if BrandMeister as a whole is experience degradation in service.

You can even subscribe to this account and be notified when servers are down or come back up. Check it out today!

MichiganONE DMR Net for 6/17/2019

Net Summary

Stations Checked In: 11
Net Closed: 9:00 PM

The net today saw 11 stations checking in, on this "pre-Field Day" edition of the net. No new stations checked in this week, which marks a first for the net. Hopefully that means people are getting the word out and that stations are checking back in.

Randy N8YUI took the net this week, as Dustin N8RMA was traveling. Rumor has it he tried to check in, but the crappy hotel WiFi just wouldn't cut it and the Cincinnati DMR repeater was not connected to BrandMeister. Great job Randy taking the net!

Announcements
  • Field day is 2 weekends from now on the 22nd - hopefully everyone has something fun planned for it. Remember that DMR and other internet-assisted modes don't count for points but are great to demonstrate for visitors.
  • Next week Randy N8YUI will be the NCS as I will be traveling over the next week, thank you Randy. If anyone else is interested in becoming an NCS, please let me know!
  • The Kalamazoo area sorta has a DMR repeater - the KM8CC repeater is online in a testing state. It doesn't have much range at this moment but will hopefully soon be in a better location.
  • K7ABD has created a codeplug builder for Anytone radios - you can add CSV files for analog and digital repeaters, and talkgroups, set some options and it will build the codeplug for you. Check it out at K7ABD.net.

MichiganONE DMR Net for 6/3/2019

Net Summary

Stations Checked In: 10
Net Closed: 9:07 PM

The net today saw 10 stations checking in, including 3 new stations, on this "home" edition of the net. We welcomed 3 new stations to the net - W8TVR, KE8HEP, and KD8THX. Hopefully everyone had a chance to enjoy the pockets of decent weather this past weekend and avoided any of the many storms that rolled through Michigan.

As mentioned, Monday at 8:30 PM is now the new home for the net (barring any serious reasons to change that) so set your calendars and spread the word. A huge thanks to everyone who helped by checking in during the month of May, helping give us the needed data to make this call.

One more thing to note - one our regular visitors to the net, Dan KB6NU, posted on his blog yesterday that his father had passed away. Please keep Dan and his family in your thoughts and prayers during what I assume is a difficult time.
